Accessibility Statement

As a community centre we strive to be accessible to everyone. Please let us know if you have any access requirements and we will do our very best to meet them.

Step-free access

We recommend that blue badge holders park at the front of the centre. There are 2 designated accessible bays.
The centre is fully wheelchair/buggy friendly.
Inside the building, all rooms are fully accessible and step-free.

There is a unisex accessible toilet.

Hearing and vision

Guide dogs are welcome in the centre.
A hearing loop is available in the main hall and we have a portable one which can be set up in the meeting room – for no extra charge.
A PA system is available to amplify speech to audiences – for no extra charge.
A projector is available in the hall and a wall mounted TV which can be connected to a laptop is available in the meeting room to provide visual information – for no extra charge.

Parents with children

Children are very welcome in the centre, but must be supervised at all times.
The centre has a basic baby-changing facility.
If a private space is required for breast feeding please ask, but otherwise feel free to breast feed anywhere in the centre.

​In keeping with our policy of customers first, and our obligations under the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act), we will ensure that our website is accessible to people who have visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments.

Using the recommendations of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, our core aim is to make our website accessible and we will try and ensure that it is usable with a broad range of devices, operating systems, browsers, and specialist assistive technologies.
