Are you around on 16th January and curious about volunteering?

We’d love you to pop in on Wednesday 16th January (times below) to see if you can bring your heart to the development of our village.

Thanks so much to those who are already volunteering their time. They certainly have big hearts!  We know everyone is busy, and so we split the remaining volunteer roles down into small chunks.

We are planning a few different groups and clubs to start in the next few weeks, but we need support from yourselves to be able to carry this out. There are two volunteer sessions that you can pop along to and find out more:

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION SESSIONS

Wednesday 16th January

Drop in from 1pm until 3pm or 6pm until 8pm

The main support we need right now is for reception and admin to allow more classes to be added to our timetable.

Full training will be given, so don’t think you can’t do it. Send us an email Burnhope.cc.2017@gmail.com for more information.

Kind regards

Management of Burnhope Community Centre.

A gentle opening from 10th September

Thank you to everyone who came along this week to find out about volunteering at the Community Centre.

After the meetings this week, we are looking to open the Community Centre for public use from Monday 10 September on evenings only to start with until we can work out demand against volunteer availability.

The centre will open from 5.30pm till 9pm Monday to Friday for September and will then expand after that.

There will be set openings during the day from the 10th for particular groups with a Monday Club planned each afternoon from 1 till 3pm and a Coffee morning on a Thursday from 10am till 12noon.

The development of a breakfast morning will also be examined for a Friday morning from 9am till 11am once a month, but this is yet to be confirmed.

We may put a special call out for possible gym members the week before the 10th and ask people to come in to register and have an induction – the date and times for these will be confirmed soon.

Not long now!

Andy Coulthard (Acting Secretary)

Are you an IT whizz?

Burnhope Community Centre needs an IT-savvy volunteer – could that be you?

We are looking for a volunteer who is IT-savvy who would be able to help us with regular checks on our laptops and tablets.  Support with setting up spreadsheets and recording systems for members and finance would also be really useful.

Anyone interested should contact the Community Centre via email on burnhope.cc.2017@gmail.com or give Andy Coulthard (Acting secretary) a ring on 07818 510  370.

Seeking gym induction volunteers

Could you volunteer to do gym inductions?

Burnhope Communtiy Centre will train up to 4 volunteers who are able to show people around the gym and how to use the equipment.  Could that be you?

We are looking for volunteers who could pop along and show people on an evening time or potentially on a morning time. Inductions should take no longer than 30 mins, but as a new facility in the village we’re anticipating high numbers.

Anyone interested should contact the Community Centre via email on burnhope.cc.2017@gmail.com or give Andy Coulthard (Acting secretary) a ring on 07818 510  370.
