A gentle opening from 10th September

Thank you to everyone who came along this week to find out about volunteering at the Community Centre.

After the meetings this week, we are looking to open the Community Centre for public use from Monday 10 September on evenings only to start with until we can work out demand against volunteer availability.

The centre will open from 5.30pm till 9pm Monday to Friday for September and will then expand after that.

There will be set openings during the day from the 10th for particular groups with a Monday Club planned each afternoon from 1 till 3pm and a Coffee morning on a Thursday from 10am till 12noon.

The development of a breakfast morning will also be examined for a Friday morning from 9am till 11am once a month, but this is yet to be confirmed.

We may put a special call out for possible gym members the week before the 10th and ask people to come in to register and have an induction – the date and times for these will be confirmed soon.

Not long now!

Andy Coulthard (Acting Secretary)
