Job Vacancy – Wellbeing Coordinator

Salary: £21164 – £25012 pro rata depending on experience (ie £11 – £13 per hour)

Hours per week: 16 hours per week

Length of contract: Six months with a view to extending subject to funding

Burnhope Community Centre has established a Wellbeing Hub with funding from the NHS Health Improvement Fund. Our aim is to develop and deliver a Wellbeing Drop-in Service for our local community. The service aims to tackle stigma that prevents people from accessing support, raise awareness about mental health and wellbeing topics to empower people to improve their health and wellbeing. The drop in will also be a listening and signposting service and provide suicide intervention and safeguarding for service users who present at a time of crisis.

We are therefore looking for a special candidate who can lead the service and its volunteers with the aim of improving community mental health and wellbeing. You will be passionate about community engagement and helping to improve people’s lives. You will have strong leadership and organisational skills and have experience in working in the mental health sector.  

You will have responsibility for the project’s organisation, growth and delivery.

Job Vacancy – Activities Coordinator (children and young people)
